Welcome!
Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, and we often slip into self-judgment, wondering, “What’s wrong with me?” In our work together, we’ll move away from those critical thoughts, shifting instead to empowering questions: “What’s my story here? What am I feeling? What do I truly need in this moment?” Therapy offers a space to reconnect with your inner wisdom, embracing the balance of light and shadow within you. Whether you’re navigating a new phase, healing past wounds, or facing challenges within relationships, systemic injustices, or oppressive structures, therapy is a place to begin again, as often as needed. Each step forward, no matter how small, honors your resilience and moves you toward meaningful change and a life aligned with your true self.
Mainely Therapy is a small, client-centered practice led by Jessica Browne, LCSW, with additional clinicians working in collaboration. Together, we offer therapy in Portland, Kennebunk, and through secure telehealth — all with a shared commitment to accessible, respectful, and relationship-driven care. Let’s get started on this journey together!

Land Acknowledgment:This work is rooted in awareness of place. We acknowledge that this work takes place on the ancestral lands of the Wabanaki Confederacy, including the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik), and Mi’kmaq peoples. Their displacement through colonization is part of this land’s history, and their enduring presence and relationship to this land continue today.
